Justice Delayed: A Conversation About Wrongful Conviction

Free. Registration required.

Join us for a discussion about the work of Philadelphia’s Conviction Integrity Unit, which investigates claims of innocence and wrongful conviction. The panel includes Andrew Swainson, whose conviction was recently overturned after being incarcerated for 31 years for a crime he did not commit, as well as Andrew Wellbrock of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, whose investigation led to the exoneration of Mr. Swainson. Moderated by Damon McCool, Public Programming Specialist at Eastern State Penitentiary.

Register and join the virtual discussion here.

This panel is part of B. PHL Fest 2020, a virtual-hybrid celebration of inspiration, connection, and innovation. B. PHL is 3 days of talks, workshops, meet ups, and curated experiences from Philadelphia and around the world. Tickets to attend B. PHL Fest 2020 are free, with an option to donate to the Philadelphia COVID-19 fund. This year's event takes place online from September 15 through September 17.
