The Education & Programs Intern will support various projects throughout the organization including public programs, exhibits, special events, and research projects. The Programs Intern will report to the Senior Manager of Program Development, and will also perform any additional research and programming related tasks as assigned. This position is temporary (approximately four months), part time (20 hours per week), including remote and in-person hours.
View DetailsAccounts Payable & Payroll Specialist
The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist is responsible for accounts payable processing, payroll processing, and Human Resource benefits management. Additional responsibilities will include resolving vendor issues, managing benefits enrollment, as well as creating and maintaining various supporting schedules. This Specialist will also provide support to Senior Staff as requested and will complete special projects as assigned by the Controller. Duties may be reassigned as needs arise. The work is varied and fast-paced, with some flexibility and additional time management required during the site’s busy season, which runs from September through November and includes the annual fundraiser, Halloween Nights.

The Manager, Events supports the successful execution of a wide range of Eastern State (ES) events, programs, and facility rentals. This role is responsible for managing all logistical aspects of events, from preparation through post-event cleanup and budget reconciliation. Serves as the primary point of contact once the event is confirmed internally or a rental agreement is finalized. Collaborates with internal departments, vendors, and clients, and manages an occasional Event Team. Must have the ability to be flexible and adaptive to changing needs, able to work autonomously and with initiative, and be adept at problem solving. Interacts effectively with individuals within and outside the ES, and develops an Events Team that is cooperative, collaborative, responsive, and proactive.
