Drop-in hands-on activities inspired by The Civil Rights Movement: Finding Justice are available from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. All materials provided—no experience necessary, just bring your creativity!
Freedom Poetry: Inspired by Langston Hughes and other Civil Rights poets, as well as poetry written by people incarcerated at Eastern State, create a poem envisioning justice in your own life.
“Promises of Freedom” Wish Wall: Share your vision for the country! Contribute your answer to the prompt, “What’s your wish for the United States?” on our Wish Wall, presented in partnership with Made By Us.
Family Story Station: Take a break and read children’s books connected to the themes of the Civil Rights Movement.
