The Eastern State Center for Justice Education joins PA Civics at “Teaching America’s 250th Anniversary: Understanding Our Past, Shaping What’s Next,” a professional development forum for educators.

The Center for Justice Education team will facilitate a workshop titled, “Exploring First Amendment Rights Through Prison Journalism," an immersive, participatory experience where educators can engage deeply with historical and contemporary case studies, participate in an interactive simulation, and reflect on the ethical and legal complexities surrounding press freedom and incarceration.
