6:00 - 9:00pm EST
Join us at one of Philadelphia’s most historical landmarks for a special screening of Becoming American: Philadelphia’s Story.
This film uncovers the hidden history of the city’s early diverse communities. Discover the men and women, both Black and white, whose resilience and intellect helped to enhance the original Quaker vision and principles; people who, through cooperation and conflict, strove to shape the nation from its very beginning.
Stick around after the film and head over to the Fair Chance Beer Garden. You can grab a drink, chat with friends, and meet our Learning and Engagement team to go 'behind the scenes' of film history at Eastern State.

We strive to make the penitentiary and our site, programs, and exhibits accessible to all visitors. Click here to learn more about accessibility and accommodations at ESPHS.
This program is part of Summer Nights at Eastern State - With a different theme each week, Summer Nights provides a fun and meaningful night out—combining history, culture, and entertainment in a one-of-a-kind setting.
