Preservation Trades Center In-Person Information Session

Attending an information session is a mandatory first-step in the hiring process. This information session takes place at PowerCorpsPHL, 2300 Master St, Philadelphia, PA 19121. A virtual information session is also available on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:00 PM. Click this link to learn more.

Through paid, on-the-job training, Preservation Trades Center (PTC) crew members work alongside expert craft workers and prepare for a career in the trades while preserving Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, a National Historic Landmark. Anyone living in the Philadelphia region (aged 18+) interested in pursuing a career in the preservation trades is welcome to apply for these paid, hands-on job training programs. No prior experience is required.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be 18 or older
  • Have a high school diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Willingess to complete a background check (justice-impacted individuals are encouraged to apply!)
  • Ability to engage in strenuous physical work
  • Interest in pursuing a career in historic preservation and/or the skilled trades
