After four months, Eastern State is reopening to the public, and, as always, members are invited back to the penitentiary first. Members, join us Thursday, March 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for special evening preview hours!

Grab an audio guide and get ready to explore Eastern State's historic cellblocks. Plus, for one night only, we're opening up some special spaces that are currently off-limits to visitors due to COVID-19 restrictions. Check out Soup Alley, the historic prisoner dining spaces, between 5:00 and 6:00 pm, and visit the Hospital Block anytime from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

All health and safety guidelines will remain in effect during this event, with two small exceptions. Tripods can be used in outdoor areas, and members and their guests are welcome to explore all open areas of the penitentiary freely without staying on a linear route.
