Preservation Trades Center Information Sessions
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 to Thursday, March 12, 2026
Two information sessions are available. Attending an information session is mandatory to be able to continue in the process.
- Online via Zoom - Tuesday, March 10th, 6 PM to 7 PM
- In-Person at PowerCorpsPHL - Thursday, March 12th, 10 AM to 11 AM
Through paid, on-the-job training, Preservation Trades Center (PTC) crew members work alongside expert craft workers and prepare for a career in the trades while preserving Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, a National Historic Landmark. Anyone living in the Philadelphia region (aged 18+) interested in pursuing a career in the preservation trades is welcome to apply for these paid, hands-on job training programs. No prior experience is required.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be 18 or older
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Willingess to complete a background check (justice-impacted individuals are encouraged to apply!)
- Ability to engage in strenuous physical work
- Interest in pursuing a career in carpentry or historic preservation
