Preservation Trades Center Information Sessions

Attending an information session is a mandatory first-step in the hiring process. Two information sessions are available.

• Online via Zoom - Tuesday, March 10th, 6 PM to 7 PM
• In-Person at PowerCorpsPHL - Thursday, March 12th, 10 AM to 11 AM

Through paid, on-the-job training, Preservation Trades Center (PTC) crew members work alongside expert craft workers and prepare for a career in the trades while preserving Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, a National Historic Landmark. Anyone living in the Philadelphia region (aged 18+) interested in pursuing a career in the preservation trades is welcome to apply for these paid, hands-on job training programs. No prior experience is required.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be 18 or older
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Willingess to complete a background check (justice-impacted individuals are encouraged to apply!)
• Ability to engage in strenuous physical work
• Interest in pursuing a career in historic preservation and/or the skilled trades
