Summer Teacher Institute

Join educators from across the nation for a five-day professional learning experience at Eastern State. Together, we’ll explore how justice education can inspire critical thinking, empathy, and civic engagement in your classroom. 

Through field trips, guest speakers, and hands-on workshops, participants will:

• Examine the history of incarceration and justice in the U.S.
• Learn strategies to integrate justice education principles into existing curriculum. 
• Develop classroom resources and lesson plans to support meaningful dialogue about justice and equity.

This collaborative institute is designed for educators of all grade levels and subject areas who want to deepen their practice and bring contemporary social justice issues to life for their students.
