Teachers can engage with fellow educators in a meaningful way by participating in Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site's new Teachback series – discussions made for teachers, led by teachers.
Discussions center around contemporary justice issues in the United States. Following the conversation, participants will join in on an activity and a classroom lesson discussion led by Eastern State Educators.
All Teachbacks take place virtually via Zoom, and each is 90 minutes long. These events are open to all educators. All participants will receive copies of the teaching materials developed by peer educators who participated in Eastern State's Summer Teacher Institute. Pennsylvania-based teachers will also receive Act 48 credit.
