Walkies: A Conversation with Shuja Moore and Sydia Bagley
Free. Live-streamed on Facebook and via Zoom webinar.
Join us for a discussion with Shuja Moore, creator and executive producer of the docuseries “Walkies” alongside Sydia Bagley, founder and CEO of Locked Down Love, a community-based program aiding returning citizens. We’ll discuss the creation and production of “Walkies” and view clips from past and upcoming episodes.
Shuja Moore is the creator and executive producer of “Walkies,” a docuseries showcasing the transformation stories of the formerly incarcerated. After serving 12 years in prison, Shuja returned to his West Philadelphia roots to provide resources to the disadvantaged community he left behind. Shuja hopes to reduce poverty and gun violence by assisting "opportunity youth" (young people between the ages of 16 and 24 disconnected from school and work) with home ownership and entrepreneurship.
Sydia Bagley is the founder and CEO of Locked Down Love, a community-based program aiding returning citizens, helping them strive and find their way. During her incarceration, Sydia graduated from Naugatuck Community College with a degree in Business Management. Before founding Locked Down Love, Sydia worked in prominent restaurants in Philadelphia, graduating valedictorian in her Culinary Arts program.
