Parking and Shuttle LogoHalloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary is located at 2027 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130. Use Google Maps for customized driving, walking, cycling, or transit directions to the penitentiary.

There is no parking available at the penitentiary. Halloween Nights parking is located at the Philadelphia Zoo’s parking garage at 3500 W. Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104. A shuttle will take you from the zoo to the penitentiary and back.

Take our shuttle for hassle-free, guaranteed parking at the Philadelphia Zoo, plus a bus or trolley ride through Fairmount!

Halloween Nights parking is located at the Philadelphia Zoo’s parking garage at 3500 W. Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104.* Plan to arrive at the parking lot 30 minutes before the time listed on your ticket. Parking is $25 on site, or $20 if you purchase online in advance. The buses loop every show night from 5:30 pm until 2 hours past the last entry time.

Cars and vans no taller than 8 ft, 2 in may park at the lot.

*Please Note: On September 23 and October 5, 2023, parking will be located at the zoo's Giraffe Lot (3901 W. Girard Ave).

There is a drop off / pick up zone located directly in front of the penitentiary on the north side of Fairmount Avenue at 21st Street. Guests wishing to use the drop off / pick up zone should approach the penitentiary from the east on Fairmount Avenue.

This zone is for active loading and unloading only. No cars or buses will be permitted to wait in this area.

Eastern State Penitentiary is convenient to SEPTA bus routes 49, 48, 43, 33, 32, and 7. Visit the SEPTA website for custom public transit directions.

Bike racks are not available at the penitentiary; however, there are bike racks located throughout the neighborhood. In addition, there are several Indego bike share stations nearby. Visit the Indego website for up-to-date information.

Eastern State Penitentiary is not responsible for lost, damage, or stolen bikes or other property.

The parking garage at the zoo cannot accommodate large vehicles. Your driver should plan to drop off/pick in front of the penitentiary entrance, which is on Fairmount Avenue between 21st and 22nd Streets. While your group is experiencing Halloween Nights, your driver can park at the Callowhill Bus Center.

As part of the City of Philadelphia’s continuing efforts to improve Center City traffic and parking, all buses, motor coaches, and tour buses are prohibited from parking on city streets, including the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The Philadelphia Parking Authority has identified the Callowhill Bus Center (CBC) at 2nd & Callowhill Streets as the designated bus parking location for the Benjamin Franklin Parkway attractions. The CBC has accommodations for bus drivers including a lounge, television, vending and other amenities. The facility is also secured and monitored 24 hours a day. There is a fee of $20.00 per bus that covers parking all day with unlimited re-entry. For more information about the CBC call (215) 829-3330.

There are two accessible parking spots located on Fairmount Avenue directly in front of the penitentiary’s entrance. If these spaces are unavailable upon arrival, please ask a member of our staff for assistance.
