Halloween isn’t just one night at Eastern State
Penitentiary. Our acclaimed event, Terror Behind the Walls, runs 27 nights from September 19 to November 2. Lots of planning and training take place in September.

Auditions / Interviews for actors, ticket
handlers, line staff & box office:
Auditions and interviews are currently being held for actors,
ticket handlers, line staff, retail staff, box office staff and
story tellers.
These jobs are demanding, and FUN. Many people
return year after year to join our “Scream Team!” Pay
starts at $9.00 per hour, more for management positions.

2008 Audition/Interview Dates & Times
Auditions/Interviews will be held on:
Sunday, August 17th at 3:30 pm
Monday, August 25th at 6:00 pm
Monday, September 8th at 6:00 pm
Monday, September 15th at 6:00 pm
Monday, September 29th at 6:00 pm
Monday, October 13th at 6:00 pm
Monday, October 27th at 6:00 pm
All Auditions/Interviews are held at Eastern State Penitentiary.
You do not need to make an appointment – first come, first
auditioned/interviewed. Positions are filled on a first come first
served basis.
A mandatory orientation will be held on Monday, September 15th at 8:00 pm (immediately following auditions/interviews). Please plan on attending this orientation if you are hired at the August 17th or 25th, September 8th or 15th audition/interviews. Costume fittings, emergency training and dress rehearsals will be held on the evenings of September 16th, 17th & 18th.
What you need to bring:
If you are auditioning for an acting
position:
Auditions are held for acting positions only. You do not need to
bring anything with you. When you arrive you will be asked to fill
out an availability calendar. Please see our 2008 Schedule for this year’s
show nights and times. Your picture will be taken and audition
sheets will be provided. If you have a resume and headshot, you may
bring it, but it is not necessary. You do not have to prepare a
monologue, just come, have fun, and give us your best scream! No
experience necessary!
If you are interviewing for an event staff
(non-acting) position:
Interviews are being held for the following event staff
positions – box office staff, line staff, ticket handlers
& retail staff. Although you won’t be asked to audition,
these positions require fun, energetic individuals.
If you are applying for a retail or box office staff position
please bring a resume with you, otherwise you do not need to bring
anything with you. When you arrive you will be asked to fill out an
availability calendar. Please see our 2008 Schedule for this year’s
show nights and times. Your picture will be taken and audition
sheets will be provided. Lot’s of energy is required, but no
experience is necessary! Lot's of energy and retail experience are
required!
